Arnold Schönberg’s correspondence is an essential source for the study of works, ideas, contexts, biographical data and circumstances. Publications of letters present in different ways the transcription of mostly handwritten sources and their content indexing. The goal of the seminar is the preparation of a digital edition of individual letters, while attending the project presentations during the study day “Briefeditionen vernetzen. Musiker:innenbriefe digital | hybrid” (January 17, 2024) will enable comparison and discussion of current edition projects.
